DAY ONE  – Sunday

 

Rome

• Morning or Afternoon: Arrival in Rome and private transfer to hotel.

DAY TWO – Monday

 

Ancient Rome – Colosseum – Roman Forum – Piazza Venezia - Pantheon

• After breakfast, a leisurely morning on your own in Rome

• 2:00pm: this afternoon you will meet with your very own Host and Driver at your Hotel and head to the Colosseum to start an insightful immersion into the history and culture of Ancient Rome
• Walk through the fascinating history of the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, followed by a guided tour of both Piazza Venezia and the Pantheon …a fascinating experience with your Host through the heart of Rome to discover and enjoy so much more than meets the eye!
• Dinner in a local Trattoria arranged by Guests with Roman specialties and local wines
• Evening at leisure

 

DAY THREE – Tuesday

 

Vatican Museums – Sistine Chapel – St Peter’s Basilica

• 8:00am: After an early breakfast, your Driver will be waiting for you to head to and meet your Host at the Vatican to visit the Vatican Museums, including:
  • Sistine Chapel
  • Saint Peter’s Basilica
• After lunch, a leisurely afternoon in Rome
• Dinner in a local Trattoria with Roman specialties and local wines and evening at leisure arranged by Guests

 

DAY FOUR – Wednesday

 

Rome at Leisure – Fountains & Piazzas – Roman Culinary Masterclass

• After breakfast, morning at leisure in Rome
• 3:00pm: This afternoon, a leisurely guided walk with your Host to discover the secrets of Rome’s most iconic Fountains & Piazzas:
  • Piazza Barberini - Tritone Fountain - Campo dei Fiori
  • Piazza di Spagna and the Spanish Steps
  • Trevi Fountain - Piazza Colonna
  • Piazza di Pietra  - Piazza Navona

·       We recommend an aperitivo in Piazza Navona to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of Rome at its best!

• Afternoon Roman Culinary Masterclass followed by dinner

DAY FIVE – Thursday

 

Rome – Montepulciano – Wine Tasting of Excellence - Pienza - Florence

• 9:00am / 9:15am: After breakfast, a very special drive from Rome to Tuscany with your Host as you visit a marvellous part of Italy!

• As we drive through the Lazio and Umbria regions, our first destination will be the town of Montepulciano
• Visit to the impressive Underground City and the ancient Etruscan cellars owned by a local wine maker dynasty, followed by a lovely wine tasting of excellence and light lunch
• After lunch, we carry on towards the Val d’Orcia region of Tuscany with a visit the tiny but charming town of Pienza and meet your Host
• Enjoy the several cheese tastings in one of the town's numerous cheese boutiques, as Pienza is considered the capital of Tuscan Pecorino cheese
• Our drive through Chianti and Val d’Orcia and afternoon late arrival at hotel in Florence
• Good night's rest

DAY SIX – Friday

 

Florence Art & Culture – Uffizi Gallery – Foodie Lunch Experience

                                         

·       10:00am: Meet your private Guide and Host Luisa at Reception and head to the Uffizi Gallery in the morning for a guided immersion into the Italian Renaissance. Skip the Line Tickets

·       Lunch will be in the heart of Florence, an informal and typical foodie venue where the locals gather and that will offer a tasting experience of Tuscany’s most typical delicacies, from Truffled pecorino "tartufone" and other different aged pecorinos, to fresh ricotta, mozzarella etc., accompanied by local breads and desserts: schiacciata all'olio, pane toscano, pane ai cereali, crostata, "cantuccini di Prato" biscuits etc..

·       Afternoon: Time to experience the open air Museum that Florence actually is throughout its centuries of history with your private Guide: Piazza della Signoria, Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, Piazza del Duomo, etc…

·       You will visit the Oltrarno area to explore Florence's old "botteghe", where are artisans will be working away creating masterpieces of silk, bronze, mosaic, gold, leather, hand-made shoes and carved wood

·       We recommend dinner at our favourite local places in Florence, where the locals go!

DAY SEVEN – Saturday

 

Lucca & Pisa

(Full Day Excursion)

·       9:00am: After breakfast,  departure to reach the town of Lucca to discover its beauty with your Host & Driver

·       Lunch will be either in town or in the nearby Pisa, where we will Piazza dei Miracoli and the famous Leaning Tower

·       Return to Florence for an evening at leisure and as good night’s rest

*Drive  - Pisa and Lucca are just under 1.5 hours.

 

DAY EIGHT – Sunday

 

Accademia - Tuscany Val d’Orcia & Chianti: Siena – San Gimignano

 

·       9:00am: After breakfast, a short stroll to reach the nearby Accademia with entrance booked at 9:15am *      subject to change based on availability and restricted entrance

·       This morning we will drive through the lush Chianti region of Tuscany and we will reach the lovely town of San Gimignano along the Via Francigena for lunch and to admire its walled medieval town that beautifully preserves its landmark Towers and medieval, Romanesque and Gothic architecture, making it a UNESCO World Heritage Site

·       After lunch in San Gimignano, a drive to reach Siena, Tuscany’s most beautiful medieval town with its fascinating Piazza Del Campo, home to the famous Palio di Siena

·       You will immerse yourself into a breathtaking world of history, art and traditions

·       We then return to Florence for an evening at leisure with dinner arranged by Guests

·       A good night’s sleep

 

DAY NINE – Monday

 

Modena/Maranello & Ferrari Museum – Parmigiano Reggiano Experience - Venice

 

·       8:30am: This morning we say goodbye to our Hosts in Florence

·       We head towards Modena and  Maranello, towns famous for their highly appreciated balsamic vinegar and for Ferrari and the Italian Motor Valley

·       Customized visit to the Ferrari Museum with an amazing personal experience full of adrenaline

·       Lunch will be in one of the most iconic and best restaurants in Maranello and in the world of Ferrari, Il Cavallino

·       Time permitting, we move into the Emilia Romagna countryside to taste the world’s most famous cheese, authentic Parmigiano Reggiano, among the real exquisite Italian flavours of the region

·       Departure for Venice

·       Private boat transfer to Hotel and check-in at Hotel

DAY ELEVEN – Wednesday

 

Unique Tour of Venice - Basilica SS Giovanni & Paolo - Canal Grande

• 10:00am: This morning,  meet your Host Michela at Reception to start a very special full-day insightful immersion in the history and culture of Venice
• Discover Venice’s highlights alongside that hidden Venice that very few explore and have access to
• After having a peek inside the most extravagant bookshop in the world and walking through Campo dei Miracoli we will reach the Scuola Grande di San Marco and the Saints John & Paolo Basilica, Venice’s largest church
• Our walk will continue towards Fondamenta Nove District and the Church and Monastery of the Jesuits, formerly the headquarters of the Confraternita dei Crociferi
• After a lunch break in the cloister, we will reach Palazzo Contarini del Zaffo where we will have exclusive access to its gardens, the largest garden in Venice with spectacular views on the lagoon
• As we walk by the house of Italian Renaissance Painter Tintoretto and share stories of an amazing Venice history and culture, we will reach the world-renown Ghetto di Venezia and its fascinating history that exudes through its beautiful architecture, bustling atmosphere and 5 synagogues
• We will then catch a Vaporetto (water taxi) towards Rialto Bridge to enjoy the heart of Venice
• Dinner booked at Da Ivo in Venice, considered one of the best restaurants in Venice

 

 

 

DAY TWELVE – Thursday

 

Islands – Murano - Gondola

• 10:00am: This morning, after a leisurely breakfast,  meet your Host again to reach the Islands of Murano
• Guided visit and chance to admire Murano’s world-renowned glass-art craftsmen
• Return to Venice for an evening at leisure, perhaps with a pleasant Gondola ride to tonight’s restaurant for dinner arranged by Guests?

 

DAY THIRTEEN – Friday

 

Venice - Rome by Bullet Ferrari Train

 

·       9:30am: After breakfast, private boat transfer with assistance to reach Santa Lucia Train Station to board the Italo Bulet Ferrari Train to Rome Termini Station (4 hour ride – 1^st Class tickets included). Train departure: 11:00am

·       Arrival at Rome Termini train station at 15:05

·       Meet your Driver at Termini Station and transfer to the Martis Palace Hotel nearby

 

DAY FOURTEEN– Saturday

 

Arrivederci Italia!

·       6:30am / 7:00am: Depart Hotel with private Driver to reach Rome FCO for flight... Arrivederci Italy!
